Q: That goes to my beloved Christian school :), and of course im still closeted, soo he doesn't know im gay (im 17 and he is 16), and i don't know if he is gay. But its weird, him and i are in Newspaper at our school, and he's ALWAYS looking at me, or smiling at me, or whatever.. You know when you get this Vibe from someone that they kindda like you and all, well im geting that from him. And Idkno im very popular at my school, and im wondering if he is just being a suck up just because im Cool with everyone... Idkno but actually he is very hott,and he dresses very nice, and i find that very Attractive!!!. But anyways like today in Newspaper, he was sitting by a girl (which is soo retarted by the way), and when he saw me come into class he smiled at me, and when i sat down at my sit, he got up where he was siting, and Sat next to me.. Idkno it was kindda obvios that he liked me when he did that.. But anyways its like we have this connection with each, also yeh i know that he is "probley" straight :(, and im waisting my time asking this stuped question, but idkno everytime i see him i get this wierd feeling, ughh i wish i didn't even like him so i wouldn't feel this way.. So what do you think? Do think that he likes me, or just as in a friend way???
A: My gaydar is pinging! I'm pretty sure he likes you. To move his seat when you came into class so he could be next to you...and that he looks at you and smiles...yeah. He even dresses hot...that is suggestive to me. If your vibes say he likes you, you are probably correct. However, to be absolutely sure you must confirm it. Go to the movies together, do some stuff, invite him to a sleepover at your house, whatever. Time will tell. Try hugging him and see if he likes that. Wink at him and smile...if he gets all excited, we know what that means. The one thing you must watch out for is this: sometimes boys who attend strict Christian schools harbor internalized homophobia and self-loathing which they have been taught. So, if he is interested in you, he might be comfortable with that -- or he might not be. So please notice if he seems to be a pretty comfortable guy, or if he seems a bit uptight and nervous...and act accordingly. But...I think he likes you...and he hopes you like him too.
