Q: i just saw his latest one i thought it was ok
A: I saw The Family That Preys, too, and it was enjoyable. For me, it's nice to see movies where there's a black female/white male romance because it reminds me of my own relationship. I thought the plot was OK and there was a lot of tension and moments where the audience was like, "No she didn't!" But, there were a few parts that were a little unbelievable for me: 1. Andrea's husband was stuck on stupid the entire movie. How obvious was it that she was cheating on him, yet he kept playing dumb. 2. At the end, why did Andrea have to go back to the ghetto? She had excellent credentials. They should have ended it with her on a job interview, maybe even with a white guy, insinuating she was thinking about seducing him to regain her status. 3. The crackhead ex-employee who gave Andrea's mom stock tips that made her a millionaire, then at the end he cleans himself up and buys a house? Yea right! 4. Andrea's reaction when her husband took the money out of the account and invested in the company was fake. I would have killed him. It was a good movie but it was kind of soap-operish. But Kathy Bates and Alfre Woodard gave awesome performances and it was cool seeing Sanaa Lathan as the bad guy for once.
